Just a quick update on our technical progress. We most likely will be enabling comments in about a week to 10 days. We had some backend problems and the code needed a major tweaking, to do what we wanted it to do, but we’re almost there. |

Just a further update on our technical progress. We have updated our database on the backend to load much quicker. This is also necessary to enable the comments section which will be coming soon. However this has caused our “Contact Page” to throw errors when you send us a message. |
However, we are still receiving your comments. Thank you for the positive thoughts and ideas you have passed along. We do not presently have time to answer every comment we have received but know we are working on improving everything.
Our next major milestone will be enabling comments in the week(s) ahead. Trust us, you will like this.
Just know that we’ve got the hampsters running as quick as they can on the wheel right now.

However, we still are looking into a small DNS issue which sometimes prevents the name www.hulettscurrent.com from resolving properly. We wanted to thank the many people who have emailed and made suggestions during our initial period. We wanted to give a technical update here. |
We are working on improving our front-page load time. For our techies out there, the pages being served are dynamically created and access the database every time a page loads. We have been experiencing 8 – 13 seconds of “waiting time” before our first page loads. This will be our priority over the next few weeks. We have not enabled comments at this time; we understand that some people are waiting to comment. We are establishing our policies and testing the code but comments will ultimately be enabled once our policies are set. We will update you as we progress.
We understand that our contact form is a bit slow after you hit the submit button. Once again, we are working on it and expect this to be resolved in the weeks ahead.
