While Halloween is Next Week…

The Huletts Halloween parade was held over this past Columbus Day weekend. While these pictures are a few weeks old, I wanted to post them anyway.

The children gathered and paraded in a wide variety of very colorful and creative costumes and free ice cream was provided at the Casino. A great time was had by all and the “Trick or Treat” offerings throughout the community were not only superb but were graciously received by the children also.

Whiteface First Snow

Would you believe that Whiteface had its first snowfall this past weekend? The beginning of the skiing and riding season isn’t that far off, it’s slated for Friday, Nov. 25. So tune up the skis and boards!!

Budweiser Clydesdale’s in Lake George Village: August 18th


A Budweiser Clydesdale at home in St. Louis.

The world famous Budweiser Clydesdale team will be in the Charles R. Wood Park in Lake George Village this Thursday, August 18th between 4:00 and 5:00 pm. They will be available for taking pictures with.

Between 5:00 and 6:00 pm, they will parade down Beach Road and Canada Street. So if you’re planning on going down to the “Village,” you can see them on Thursday afternoon.

Trekonderoga: August 12-14


Keir Dullea and Gary Lockwood, the stars “2001 – A Space Odyssey,” will appear in Ticonderoga in August.

Following the successful Trekonderoga last year, the second annual Trekonderoga convention will take place on the weekend of August 12-14, from Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. It will be held in Ticonderoga, New York, on the banks of Lake George and Lake Champlain. Trekonderoga – 2016 will again show its special nature as a small, intimate setting where you can meet stars and participate in events up-close, all in a beautiful and historic setting in the Adirondacks!

Tex Benedict Plays at the Casino

As we draw closer to the 4th of July weekend, there are some fun things happening at the Huletts Casino. Last night, the band, Tex Benedict, entertained the crowd.

Liam Ballantyne’s Pictures from Afar


Liam Ballantyne (right) with his Eagle Scout sponsor, Mike Philbrook (left) on-board the United States Coast Guard’s Barque Eagle in London Harbor before the Eagle set sail for Norfolk, VA. Mr. Philbrook, a 1983 graduate of the Naval Academy, happened to be in London before the Eagle set sail.

Liam Ballantyne, son of Peter and Angela Ballantyne, is spending his summer on-board the United States Coast Guard’s Barque Eagle. Liam, aboard the Eagle, is sailing across the Atlantic heading toward Norfolk, VA. He was kind enough to send the following pictures home.
